Definition
On-hand quantity is what the warehouse believes it physically holds. It is not always the same as available-to-sell once allocations, damage and quarantine are removed.
Worked example
On-hand 120, allocated to open orders 15, damaged 5 → available 100. Reorder maths should use the sellable figure, not raw on-hand alone.
Why it matters for replenishment
Buying from on-hand without allocations overstates cover and delays POs.
How OmniRestock uses this
OmniRestock ingests stock from connected channels and warehouses into each stock source for forecasting and replenishment.
