What changed
Amazon creates multipack offers (own ASIN, SKU prefix VMP_) fulfilled from single-pack FBA inventory. Default price is single-pack × pack size. Edits must use Edit virtual multipack only; deleted pilot multipacks cannot be reactivated. Seller notices cite review by 10 Nov before sale on 11 Nov.

Who’s affected
US FBA brand-owned ASINs selected into the virtual multipack pilot (no manual opt-in).
What to do
- In Manage All Inventory, filter SKU for VMP_ and open each Edit virtual multipack page.
- Set multipack discounts that protect MAP/margin, or delete packs you never want (deletion is permanent in the pilot).
- Exclude VMP_ from repricers, flat files and APIs — Amazon warns other edit paths break the listing.
- Raise cover on parent single-packs; each multipack order pulls multiple units from the same pool.
Why it matters for replenishment
Policy, fee and inbound changes move the dates and unit economics behind reorder points. Update lead times, landed cost and channel buffers in the same week Amazon publishes the change — not after the stockout.
