What changed
Amazon is adjusting US FBA fulfilment fees so each fee more closely matches fulfilment cost; impact varies by product (some fees up, some down), averaging about $0.19 per unit (~0.8% of average selling price). The FBA fuel and logistics surcharge stays unchanged. From 1 February 2027 Amazon eliminates the storage utilisation surcharge, removes the aged inventory surcharge and combines it with monthly storage into a single age-based rate (flat or lower for inventory that turns in under six months; higher for aged stock). The low-inventory-level fee from 1 February applies only when inventory falls below 28 days of supply, using shipments in the four weeks before and after the assessment date. Further detail covers small/large standard-size items, items above $50, “Buy X, Get Y”, MCF and AWD.

What to do
- Open the Fee Change Comparison dashboard in Profit Analytics and model top ASINs in the Revenue Calculator before 15 January 2027.
- Rebuild 2027 landed-cost and reorder point assumptions with the new fulfilment and storage rates.
- Plan turns under six months where possible — aged stock will cost more under the age-based storage rate.
- Review low-inventory-level fee exposure for SKUs that regularly dip under 28 days of supply.
Why it matters for replenishment
Policy, fee and inbound changes move the dates and unit economics behind reorder points. Update lead times, landed cost and channel buffers in the same week Amazon publishes the change — not after the stockout.
