Who’s affected

US importers whose HTS lines relied on the 178 extended exclusions (9903.88.69 / 9903.88.70).

What to do

  1. Ask your broker which open POs/ASNs still claim an exclusion and whether they clear by 9 Nov Eastern.
  2. Recalculate landed cost without the exclusion before approving the next China PO.
  3. Update OmniRestock / spreadsheet unit costs so reorder margins stay honest.
  4. This is educational, not customs or tax advice — confirm HTS and entry timing with your broker.

Why it matters for replenishment

Policy, fee and inbound changes move the dates and unit economics behind reorder points. Update lead times, landed cost and channel buffers in the same week Amazon publishes the change — not after the stockout.
