What changed
Alongside the existing $10k/month proceeds trigger, enhanced-safety category listings now require USD 1 million per occurrence and aggregate cover. New policies from Mainland China–based sellers must come through Amazon Insurance Accelerator (AIA); compliant policies filed before 2 Nov can run until expiry.

Who’s affected
US marketplace sellers with products in enhanced-safety categories; Mainland China–based sellers submitting new insurance.
What to do
- Check Account Health / Business Insurance for which of your ASINs sit in enhanced-safety categories.
- Upload a compliant Certificate of Insurance showing $1m cover naming the correct legal entity.
- If you are Mainland China–based, route new policies through AIA; do not wait for an old policy to fail review.
- Inventory planning is unchanged, but listing deactivation risk is real — protect top SKUs’ continuity.
Why it matters for replenishment
Policy, fee and inbound changes move the dates and unit economics behind reorder points. Update lead times, landed cost and channel buffers in the same week Amazon publishes the change — not after the stockout.
