What changed
The €2 fee applies per line item in the customs declaration under EU customs rules. For Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), the carrier invoices the seller and remits to EU customs. For Fulfilment by Amazon with Remote Fulfilment with FBA, Amazon includes the fee in the price shown on the product detail page, basket and checkout, so EU storefront prices can exceed the price you set.

Who’s affected
Sellers shipping directly from outside the EU to EU customers (including UK sellers using FBM into the EU, or Remote Fulfilment with FBA from the UK into EU stores).
What to do
- If you FBM into the EU, confirm how your carrier invoices the €2 per line item and fold it into landed cost.
- If you use Remote Fulfilment with FBA, review pricing rules and automations so margin still holds after Amazon adds the fee at checkout.
- Check Amazon Help “EU customs requirements for B2C imports into the EU” for the New EU customs handling fee section.
- Replenishment maths for EU-bound SKUs should treat this as a per-line cost, not a referral fee.
Why it matters for replenishment
Policy, fee and inbound changes move the dates and unit economics behind reorder points. Update lead times, landed cost and channel buffers in the same week Amazon publishes the change — not after the stockout.
